คุณสมบัติ ในการสมัครอเมริกันซิติเซ่น

การขอสมัครเป็นพลเมืองสหรัฐอเมริกามีคุณสมบัติและขั้นตอนหลักๆ ที่ผู้สมัครต้องปฏิบัติตาม ดังนี้:

1. อายุขั้นต่ำ

ผู้สมัครต้องมีอายุมากกว่า 18 ปีขึ้นไป

2. ถิ่นพำนักในสหรัฐฯ

ต้องถือกรีนการ์ด (Green Card) เป็นระยะเวลาอย่างน้อย 5 ปี (หรือน้อยกว่านั้น หากแต่งงานกับพลเมืองอเมริกัน ใช้เวลา 3 ปี)

ต้องอยู่อาศัยในสหรัฐฯ อย่างต่อเนื่องเป็นเวลาอย่างน้อย 30 เดือนในช่วง 5 ปีที่ผ่านมา (หรือตามเงื่อนไขกรณี 3 ปี)

3. มีความประพฤติดี

ผู้สมัครต้องมีประวัติที่ดี และไม่มีประวัติการกระทำความผิดทางอาญาที่มีผลกระทบต่อการสมัครเป็นพลเมือง

4. ทักษะภาษาอังกฤษ

ต้องสามารถอ่าน เขียน และพูดภาษาอังกฤษในระดับที่สามารถสื่อสารได้

จนท.จะประเมินทักษะการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ จากการพูดคุยตอบคำถามทั่วไป

จนท.อาจถามความหมายของคำศัพท์บางคำในแบบฟอร์ม เพื่อประเมินว่าเราเข้าใจประโยคคำถามภาษาอังกฤษนั้นไหม
จนท. จะให้ อ่านประโยค 1 ประโยค, เขียนประโยค 1 ประโยค

English Test

Speaking

Your ability to speak and understand English will be determined by a USCIS officer during your eligibility interview on Form N-400, Application for Naturalization.

Reading

You must read aloud one out of three sentences correctly to demonstrate an ability to read in English. The Reading Test Vocabulary List will help you study for the English reading portion of the naturalization test. The content focuses on civics and history topics.

Writing

You must write one out of three sentences correctly to demonstrate an ability to write in English. The Writing Test Vocabulary List will help you study for the English writing portion of the naturalization test. The content focuses on civics and history topics.

Civics Test : 2008 Version
The 2008 version of the civics test is an oral test, and the USCIS officer will ask you up to 10 questions from the list of 100 civics test questions. You must answer 6 questions correctly to pass the 2008 version of the civics test.

6. ต้องมีความผูกพันและเต็มใจปฏิบัติตามรัฐธรรมนูญของสหรัฐฯ

ถ้าคิดว่าไม่ยินดีที่จะตอบ yes ในคำถามเหล่านี้ ก็ไม่น่าสมัครอเมริกันซิติเซ่น ถ้าสมัครไปคุณสมบัติอาจไม่ผ่าน

หากพิจราณาแล้ว คุณสมบัติครบถ้วน ผู้สมัครสามารถยื่นแบบฟอร์ม N-400 และเข้าสู่กระบวนการสัมภาษณ์และทดสอบเพื่อพิจารณา
